At Killarney Vale Veterinary Clinic, we administer pet vaccinations to help you protect your fur baby from a range of infectious diseases. Vaccinations keep your dog, cat or rabbit healthy and happy. If you have any questions or would like to make a booking, contact our Central Coast team on
(02) 4334 2002. We can also treat
worming infections.
We recommend you have your puppy vaccinated when they are 6, 12 and 16 weeks old. All dogs should get a kennel cough booster annually, as well as shot every three years to protect them from distemper, hepatitis and parvovirus.
As with puppies, kittens should get three vaccinations when they are 6, 12 and 16 weeks old. Adult cats should also receive annual boosters. Following this schedule helps protect your four-legged friend from feline enteritis and cat flu.
We administer vaccines for rabbit calicivirus—a viral disease spread by insects which can cause sudden death in rabbits. Our vets recommend getting your bunny vaccinated after they’ve turned three months old to protect them from this infectious disease. It’s also important to keep your rabbit in an insect-proof enclosure to reduce the chance of them catching the rabbit myxomatosis virus (no vaccine is currently available).
